Stephen Kandilas, M.D. | Infectious Disease

I am an infectious diseases specialist with training in the diagnosis and management of complex infections in hospitalized and outpatient patients. During my fellowship at Mayo Clinic Florida, I cared for patients with a broad range of infectious conditions, including complex surgical infections, transplant-related infections, HIV, antimicrobial-resistant infections, and infections in immunocompromised patients. My training included inpatient infectious disease consultation, outpatient infectious disease care, HIV medicine, antimicrobial stewardship, infection prevention, travel medicine, and outpatient parenteral antimicrobial therapy (OPAT).

Prior to specializing in infectious diseases, I gained broad clinical experience through my internal medicine residency, primary care practice in Greece, and medical service in the Greek military.

My research background includes working at Massachusetts General Hospital–Harvard studying viral infectious diseases such as Dengue and Zika viruses.

I will join Bryn Mawr Medical Specialists Association as an infectious diseases physician, providing care through Main Line Health at Paoli Hospital.
